Wild animals
Living conditions in the desert can be summed up in one word: extreme. Everything here is oversaturated with extremes. Some things are practically nonexistent, while others are strikingly abundant. But the greatest challenge for desert dwellers is the lack of moisture. Annual precipitation does not exceed 200 mm. For months on end, the scorching sun scorches the air and ground daily, yet not a drop of rain falls from the sky.
Desert animalsOne of the most powerful members of the cat family is the snow leopard. This animal is also known as the irbis or snow leopard. Due to their valuable fur, snow leopard hunting is always popular. As a result, the species' population declined sharply in the mid-20th century.
Snow leopardThe brown bear is traditionally considered a symbol of Russia. This powerful predator belongs to the Ursidae family. These animals are distinguished by their robust build and massive head, whose size makes their eyes and ears appear quite small. Estimates of a brown bear's weight vary depending on the species and habitat.
Brown bearsReindeer belong to the deer family and are the only living representatives of their genus. The internet is replete with photos of this beautiful and noble animal.
