Sea creatures
The stingray (thresher ray) is a marine inhabitant. Its body is diamond-shaped with a thin tail at the end. Almost all species of this fish typically have spines and fins on their backs.
Since ancient times, various terrifying legends and myths have circulated about the thresher stingray, described in various fairy tales. After all, their appearance is quite frightening, intimidating, and menacing. Moreover, almost all species of rays living in the deep sea are venomous and dangerous to humans.
All about stingraysSeabirds, including cormorants, generally live in flocks. A bird living in a colony feels much more secure, is less likely to fall into the clutches of a predator, and has a greater chance of successfully raising its young. The cormorant is a black seabird belonging to the order Pelecaniformes and the genus Cormorantidae.
Cormorant birdFish are aquatic vertebrates that breathe through gills. They can inhabit both fresh and salt water. They can be found in a variety of bodies of water, from mountain streams to the deep sea. Many are familiar with the impressive list of marine fish from childhood. These include capelin and herring, pollock and cod, halibut and hake, as well as many other small and large marine fish, some of which you can explore in this article.
Types of marine fishA vast diversity of living creatures inhabits the land and oceans. Biologists divide them into orders, species, and subspecies. This is entirely justified, as it can be very difficult to classify an animal into a specific species.
However, if living creatures and organisms found on land have been more or less studied, then those that live and swim in the seas are a treasure trove of scientific discoveries in biology for ecologists.
Differences in fish finsMany people have probably wondered at one time or another: is a dolphin a fish or a mammal? After all, like many fish, they inhabit oceans and seas and lead a similar lifestyle. However, dolphins are aquatic mammals, belonging to the class Cetacea.
Are dolphins fish or not?
