Seahorses have always amazed people with their unusual appearance. These amazing fish are among the most ancient inhabitants of the seas and oceans. The first representatives of this fish species appeared approximately forty million years ago. They got their name from their resemblance to a knight chess piece.

One of the most ancient animal species, mysterious and little-studied, are sharks, also known as selachians. Numerous myths and legends surround this marine fauna, contributing to prejudice against these amazing fish. Systematic study of selachians began during World War II, during battles in the Pacific and Indian Oceans. The goal was to find a way to protect humans from these marine predators.

Hydroid jellyfish belong to the class Hydrozoa and Coelenterata. They live in water. They are closely related to polyps, but their structure is slightly more complex. This type of jellyfish differs from others in that it can live forever, as hydroids can regenerate from an adult organism to a juvenile one.

The blue whale surpasses all other fauna on our planet in size. Looking back over the past 90 million years of Earth's history, no other animal has emerged to replace it. Therefore, the blue whale rightfully holds the title of the most unique creature in size.

The stingray (thresher ray) is a marine inhabitant. Its body is diamond-shaped with a thin tail at the end. Almost all species of this fish typically have spines and fins on their backs.

Since ancient times, various terrifying legends and myths have circulated about the thresher stingray, described in various fairy tales. After all, their appearance is quite frightening, intimidating, and menacing. Moreover, almost all species of rays living in the deep sea are venomous and dangerous to humans.
