What is the difference between British and Scottish cats?
Many cat breeds share similarities, such as the British Shorthair and the Scottish Fold. This is because the Scottish Fold was developed from the British breed. Cross-breeding is currently strictly prohibited, as it often results in kittens with various abnormalities. Some owners of popular breeds mistakenly sell or give away "British Fold" kittens. However, such a breed does not exist! Only Scottish Folds have folded ears. To be sure which breed you're looking at, you need to know the differences between British and Scottish Fold cats; it's not just the shape of their ears.
