Drug-addicted dolphins
Scientists have observed an interesting fact: young dolphins were "indulging" in fugu fish. It contains a harmful and dangerous narcotic substance called a neurotoxin. In small doses, it is not lethal but produces a narcotic effect. The adolescent dolphins took turns chewing on the fish and clearly enjoyed it.
Tyrant Dolphins
These marine animals lack courtship. Within their pods, these mammalian males can be downright tyrants, coercing females into mating. It turns out they are very sexually active.
If the female disobeys, the male separates her from the pack, starves her, and prevents her from joining the family in every possible way. This continues until the exhausted female agrees to a "mating union."
Whale-loving dolphins
Mammals love to ride the waves kicked up by whales, or even on their backs. To achieve this, dolphins, sometimes over a thousand in number, follow the whales. They try to force the whale to dive, catch the waves they create, and ride them like a slide.
Thieving dolphins
When idle, mammals can get into mischief, or even rob someone. For example, in Orlando, Florida, a mischievous dolphin once simply knocked a tablet out of a woman's hands, wanting to have some fun.
She managed to quickly pull the device out of the water, and the thief was very pleased with his successful prank.
Dolphins that hate surfers
This seemingly harmless animal can attack people simply for fun. Sometimes they simply swim alongside a boater or a surfer out of curiosity. But they can also easily knock someone off their surfboard with a strong blow or capsize a boat out of mischief.
Therefore, when surfing in the sea, you should always remember that, despite their pleasant appearance and sociability, dolphins remain wild animals and you cannot rely on them.
