You don't have to go to a pet store and spend money to spice up your pet's leisure time. You can make your own cat toys, and the most daring and creative ideas can be realized in the process.
Pompon
To create this project, you'll need strips of fabric of equal length or woolen thread. If the strips are thick, you can simply gather them into a tight bundle and tie them tightly in the middle. If you're using thread, you'll need cardboard.
- We cut out two identical circles with a hole in the middle. The diameter of the circles determines the size of the future product.
- After the threads fill the entire area of the circles, tie a knot and cut the threads along the outside of the circles.
- Then we thread the thread between the cardboard circles and tie it tightly across the skein.
- All that remains is to remove the cardboard, and your pompom is ready.
The more yarn you wrap, the fluffier the pompom will be.
Air feathers
You will need a paper towel roll, several multi-colored feathers, rope, and tape.
- We make several holes in the sleeve.
- We carefully thread the feathers through them.
- We secure it with tape.
The finished toy should be hung by a string at some distance from the floor, but so that the pet can reach it. The slightest breeze will ruffle the feathers, which is sure to interest and entertain your pet.
Box with a secret

In addition to balls, you can place any other objects inside, the main thing is that they are safe for the animal.
You can create a real attraction from an ordinary cardboard box:
- We cut several holes and put balls or balls of yarn inside the box.
- They should not roll out, so the assembled structure must be secured with tape.
Cats love to explore unusual boxes, and your efforts will definitely be appreciated.

Paper bag tunnel
A few old paper bags can be transformed into a fascinating attraction. Simply glue them together and place them in your pet's "tunnel." You can make small holes on the sides so that the animal does not feel afraid.
Stuffed mouse
Absolutely anyone can make such a toy.
We will need:
- dense fabric;
- cotton wool for stuffing;
- threads;
- sewing machine.
Step-by-step instructions for making:
- Carefully transfer the pattern shown above onto the fabric and cut out the pieces.
- We sew the mouse from the wrong side, leaving a small opening for stuffing.
- When the toy is completely sewn, we turn it inside out and fill it with soft material, in our case cotton wool.
To make the mouse look real, you need to make a tail and ears for it from scraps of fabric.
A cat is a valuable member of the family, and it needs your attention and care. With a little effort, you can treat your pet to a fun toy, and it will reward you with purring and a good mood.
