A unique dolphin, which has characteristics of two different species, has been discovered in the Hawaiian region.
The hybrid dolphin resembles a broad-snouted dolphin, a relative of the killer whale, and a large-toothed dolphin. Previously, hybrid specimens had been found separately among whales and dolphins, but no hybrids had been observed between the two species. This discovery was a significant event for scientists.
