When temperatures in Rovaniemi rose to 32°C, most residents headed to the river to cool off. But they weren't alone.
The Finns discovered visitors on the river beaches: reindeer. The heat was difficult for animals accustomed to the typical northern climate, so the even-toed ungulates decided to cool off in the river as well. Rovaniemi residents were not at all averse and happily took photos with the beautiful creatures.
