Secret formula: what's included in Raptor products - table
The effectiveness of products depends on the active ingredients they contain. Raptor uses insecticides from different groups to manufacture its products, depending on the formulation.
| Name of the active substance | Description, operating principle | What medications is it used in? | Flaws |
| Gokylate (d-cyphenothrin) – 7.2%. International name: Cyphenothrin | A broad-spectrum insecticide with a damaging effect at the nerve-paralytic level | Aquafumigator | toxicity; Some populations may have resistance to the component |
| Cypermethrin (cypermethrin) – 0.2%, | A contact and stomach insecticide. It inhibits the nervous system of adults and larvae. It has a rapid and long-lasting effect on the pest (leaving a residual effect on treated objects and surfaces). It does not cause resistance. | Aerosol | toxicity (3rd hazard class for humans) |
| Lambda-cyhalothrin – 0.1% | A pyrethroid insecticide that has a nerve-paralytic effect, affects the motor impulses of the nervous system, leading to severe excitation. | Traps, gel | toxicity (hazard class 3 for humans), long waiting period of action (up to 30–40 days) |
| Tetramethrin – 0.2% | A contact insecticide. It acts on the nervous system of insect pests, causing almost instant paralysis. | Aerosol | There have been cases of resistance in German cockroach populations (where natural pyrethrum powder has been used for a long time) |
| Fipronil (Fipronil) - 0.035 | A contact and stomach insecticide. It has a destructive effect on the nervous system of insects, causing severe hyperstimulation and death by paralysis within 8 hours of exposure. | Double Strength Traps | Due to the high toxicity of the substance for warm-blooded animals, only bait stations and gels are permitted |
| Emmamectin benzoate - 0.05% | A contact-intestinal insecticide. It acts on receptors responsible for muscle contractions. Insects lose the ability to feed and usually die within four days. | Double Strength Traps | toxicity (3rd hazard class for humans) |
| Piperonyl butoxide - 1% | An intestinal-contact insecticide that enhances the nerve-paralytic action of other pyrethroid substances and reduces the protective function of insect enzymes | Aerosol concentrate | can only be combined with components of the pyrethroid group |
| Bifenthrin - 0.08% | A stomach and contact insecticide of the pyrethroid group. It acts on the nervous system (initially causing intense stimulation, then paralysis). It has pronounced repellent properties. Effectively poisons insects at all stages of development. | Aerosol concentrate | toxicity (2nd hazard class for humans) |
Raptor product overview with customer reviews
According to review sites, customers have mixed feelings about Raptor cockroach control products. Rating depending on the type of product: from 2.5 to 5 stars. The most "proven" products with the most reviews are gel, traps, and aerosol. Some products are relatively new, so many haven't used them yet.
Raptor Crawling Aerosol – Professional Insect Control
The product has a 3.3-star rating. A 350 ml bottle costs 250–300 rubles.
A special water-based aerosol for controlling crawling insects. It's used to combat not only cockroaches, but also red ants, bedbugs, and other unpleasant neighbors. The scent is mint.
Note: Many users noted that the aerosol also had a detrimental effect on flying insects.
The manufacturer promises rapid pest control. The ingredients in the formula have two types of action:
- Rapid onset. The toxic component takes effect immediately after spraying—the insecticide instantly penetrates the insect's skin and respiratory system.
- Long-lasting effect. After spraying, the substance remains on surfaces, continuing to affect insects through contact and ingestion.
Features of use:
- Shake the can before use and hold it upright.
- Spray the product from a distance of 20 cm onto areas where insects congregate, their routes of movement, and possible habitats: cracks in walls, the backs of furniture, etc.
- After 15 minutes of treatment, ventilate the room for 30 minutes.

One bottle is enough to treat a room of 50-60 square meters. For best results, repeat the treatment after a month.
Precautions:
- Treatment should be carried out with open windows and vents in the absence of people, pets and birds, with aquariums closed and food products removed.
- Do not spray near open flames or electrical appliances.
- In case of contact with eyes or skin, rinse with water.
Most customers praise the aerosol's effectiveness, calling it an "insect killer" and "cockroach killer." However, they note an unbearable, unpleasant odor, which in some cases even causes a sore throat and coughing. Some users noted that the cockroaches didn't react at all to the product, even after just spraying it. It is possible that the different efficacy rates depend on the resistance of cockroaches to the components of the aerosol (see information on tetramethrin in the table).

Customers note the lack of a nozzle as a disadvantage, making it difficult to spray the product into hard-to-reach places.
This product was recommended, but it turned out to be completely ineffective! It got to the point where my husband would spray it directly on the cockroaches; they'd lie there for five seconds, then come to their senses and be ready to run. But alas, they were met with a more effective remedy—a slipper. What can we say about any cumulative effect if it doesn't work even after a quick spray? The product is labeled as having a minty scent... it's best not to let anyone smell that mint, as inhaling it immediately causes a burning sensation, a scratchy throat, and a cough. When using it, be sure to open the windows wide to let the room ventilate. I don't recommend using it at all in apartments with children, just in case. One downside is the lack of a nozzle, making it difficult to spray into hard-to-reach places. Perhaps we have some kind of "thermonuclear" cockroaches that can't be bothered by anything, but thanks to another product, we finally got rid of them, and I wouldn't recommend this Raptor product to anyone.
Cockroaches are a common and inevitable problem for people living in dorms. I encountered this myself when I entered my first year at university. I tried numerous remedies recommended by my roommates, but they all ended in the same failure. But then I stumbled upon this wonderful product. Raptor is effective, and within 24 hours I hadn't found a single living cockroach, only the half-dead ones that weren't immediately attacked and were barely crawling on the floor. Overall, I'm satisfied with the results. The product is 100% worth it. I recommend it. The price is a bit high for me, but it's worth it.
Concentrated aerosol "Barrier"
The product has a 5-star rating. The price for an 80 ml bottle is 280–300 rubles.
An alcohol-based aerosol. Thanks to its concentrated formula, the active ingredients evaporate gradually from treated surfaces, providing long-lasting protection against cockroaches. The manufacturer promises the product's effectiveness will last up to 6 months. Insects that come into contact with the product while moving around become infected through their skin and transmit the poison to their fellow insects. The aerosol is equipped with a convenient sprayer that allows for targeted application, reaching hidden spots.

Try to spray the product on non-absorbent surfaces such as plastic or metal surfaces, tiles, linoleum
Directions for use:
- Shake the aerosol can before use. Remember to hold the can upright.
- To ensure a barrier effect, treat potential entry points for crawling insects into your home: entrance doors, ventilation pipes, cracks along baseboards, and areas around sinks.
- To eliminate sources of infestation, treat areas where insects congregate.
The fight against cockroaches in a building built in 1972 is ongoing, and even though there's no longer any open food in your apartment and a huge number of Combat and Raptor traps have been scattered around for six months, nothing can protect you from your neighbors' cockroaches. They sneak in through the ventilation and the hatch to the riser, as well as the cutout in the tile around the drain pipe. Renovations are constantly underway in various apartments, and the cockroaches escape from there. As a result, there aren't really any living cockroaches, but the floor is periodically littered with dead enemy soldiers—the traps are working. I'm both overwhelmed and unwilling to watch. Finally, a decision was made to restrict the cockroaches' entry into the apartment. My parents used chalk, like Mashenka, but there were fewer cockroaches there, and it still leaves traces. Then I noticed a new product at Auchan—Raptor Barrier. I decided to buy it; it costs 290 rubles for 80 ml. I sprayed it for about 20 seconds around the hatch, the riser, the drain pipe, and all the fans and the hood in the kitchen. Everything was as directed. It's best to ventilate well for at least a couple of hours after use. A week has passed, and miraculously, the cockroaches have decreased. They're still there, but much fewer now. Maybe there are fewer renovations in the house now, I don't know. But I can live with it. Bottom line: the product seems to be working so far; there are fewer of them.
Raptor cockroach trap
The product has a 2.3-star rating. A 6-pack costs 180–200 rubles.
The principle behind bait traps is simple. A plastic container contains bait containing a poisonous substance. The insect crawls into this "house," feeds, and eventually becomes infected and spreads the poison to others. The active substance doesn't take effect immediately, but it has a long-lasting effect. Thanks to its special composition and consistency, the "treat" inside the trap remains attractive for a long time.
Directions for use:
- Before using a cockroach trap, thoroughly clean the area, including hard-to-reach areas.
- Carefully place traps in areas where cockroaches live and move.
- You will need 2-3 traps for a room of 10 m² (if the insect population is low).
- Important! Do not use insect repellents at the same time as traps, as their scent will repel cockroaches from the traps.
- For more effective protection against cockroaches, it is recommended to replace the traps with new ones after 2 months of use.
Customers describe the product as ineffective. They say the pests either simply avoid the traps or feed without causing any health problems. However, in some cases, reviews were later updated and positively assessed, indicating a reduction in cockroach numbers. It may take a long time for the product to take effect.
I'm updating my review and raising my rating by 1 star. After I set the remaining 3 traps, the cockroach population began to decrease within 1-1.5 weeks. Now, for about 2-2.5 weeks, there haven't been any. I hope this is the end of our war on cockroaches. The Raptor traps still work, but somewhat slowly.
Having peeled off the protective film from the adhesive sticker, I stuck the traps in various places around the kitchen—in the cabinets, on the tiles above the sink, on the wall, and even on the bottom drawer of the stove. All that was left was to wait. Incidentally, the packaging didn't provide any information about the speed of action. I could only hope the infestation would occur quickly. But the days passed... A week, two, then a third... And still the cockroaches were crawling around the kitchen. Honestly, I held onto hope until the very last minute, but I just realized there was no point anymore—I couldn't wait a month for it to work. It seems the cockroaches don't care about these traps any more than they care about a purple star—they simply don't go into them! Someone wrote about sweeping up piles of corpses after using these super-traps, but I haven't seen a single one.
Raptor recently released "Double Strength" traps with different active ingredients that have a more rapid killing effect on crawling insects. There are no reviews for this product yet.
Raptor Cockroach and Ant Gel
The rating on two websites is 3.2 and 5 stars. However, many positive reviews are about getting rid of ants. The price for a tube (75 ml) is 270 rubles.
The gel works on the same principle as traps. It's essentially a bait "filling" in a tube. The active ingredient is the same: Lambda-cyhalothrin (0.1%). So if traps haven't worked, the gel is unlikely to work. However, it could be due to the availability of the poison bait. The gel form is more convenient. It can be applied in different quantities to different locations (unlike plastic traps).
Directions for use:
- Before using insecticidal gel against ants and cockroaches, thoroughly clean the apartment.
- Apply the gel in dotted lines in areas where insects live and move (in the kitchen, under the sink, bathtub, behind furniture, toilet, near the trash can).
- If the number of cockroaches is large enough, it is recommended to apply the gel in a solid line.
- One package is designed to treat a room of 10 m³.
- Important! Do not use insect repellents simultaneously with the gel, as their scent will repel cockroaches from the gel.
We recently moved into a new apartment and discovered we weren't alone, but had other unpleasant tenants: cockroaches. We tried several products, but only Raptor gel really helped. Its effect wasn't particularly noticeable at first, but after three weeks, the cockroaches had completely disappeared. It's easy to use and economical (we're currently using it as a preventative measure, and we're still using the first tube). Another plus is its long-lasting effect: we reapplied it every week, even though the instructions said you could do it less often. If you want 100% results, like us, you should also use special traps.
The Raptor Aquafumigator is a new product in insect control.
The product has a 2.9-star rating. The price per package is 500 rubles.
Included:
- plastic container;
- metal container with active substance and vaporizing agent;
- a bag of water;
Fumigation occurs through contact between the container and water. The vapors of the active substance quickly destroy insect pests (including larvae and eggs).
Directions for use:
- Open the package and remove the contents.
- Remove the metal container from its packaging.
- Pour the water from the bag into the jar.
- Place the metal container inside the jar of water.
- Important! Leave the area being treated for 2–3 hours while the aquafumigator is in operation.

Calculate the required dose of the product: one aquafumigator can eliminate insects in a room up to 30 m²
We started exterminating cockroaches early on, and they've proliferated. Mostly in the kitchen. I decided spot-checking wouldn't work and thought I'd have to call an exterminator. I sent the family to a sanatorium and removed everything from the kitchen except the furniture and refrigerator (I had to go through every box to make sure I didn't bring any illegal roaches into the room). I popped into the store to check out insect control options and saw this product. It's so simple. I just set it up in the kitchen: it's smoking and sizzling. The cockroaches are SHOCKED! They're running around, scurrying, looking for somewhere to hide (I'd thoughtfully sealed all the cracks), and even a couple of spiders crawled out to die. I went for a walk and came back four hours later—the entire kitchen was littered with insect corpses. So I can confirm—this product is effective.
How the Raptor Aquafumigator Works (video)
Raptor offers cockroach control products in various forms. Aerosols are suitable for immediate treatment of infestations. Gels and baits provide a long-lasting, domino-like effect. In the most severe cases, an aquafumigator can be used. When choosing a product, pay attention to the active ingredients. Try different ones, as cockroaches quickly adapt and develop resistance to toxic components.
