Description of the drug Get
Get is an insecticide for killing cockroaches. It is a milky-white or cream-colored suspension in a white, opaque polymer bottle with a protective neck covering under a foil cap bearing the product name. The bottle holds 100 ml. Get was previously produced under the name Gett. The previous version of the product was a liquid containing chlorpyrifos as the active ingredient. Gett was sold in spray bottles.
The new Get product is also based on chlorpyrifos, but unlike its predecessor, the insecticide is encapsulated. These capsules are invisible to the naked eye, as each one is 18 microns in size. The granules are individually protected in a lipid-water medium.
It's no coincidence that the active ingredient is contained in microcapsules. Chlorpyrifos is a powerful insecticide classified as a Class 1, meaning it's classified as an extremely toxic substance. But thanks to the protective shell in which the poison is enclosed, the toxicity level is reduced to 3, which is safe for humans and animals. Therefore, the drug works flawlessly on cockroaches, which simply have no chance of developing immunity to the powerful toxin.
Another improvement in the new product is its low active ingredient content. Chlorpyrifos is present in the product at a concentration of only 5%. This low concentration, especially when contained in microgranules, makes the product safe for mammals, as the amount is insignificant for humans and animals, yet sufficient to kill insects.
How Get Works
Chlorpyrifos has a contact effect on arthropods. After application to surfaces, the liquid portion dries, leaving behind the microcapsules. Cockroaches come into contact with them, and the substance gets onto their legs and bodies, penetrating the digestive and respiratory systems. It then penetrates the body, causing seizures, organ failure, nervous system paralysis, and death. The drug has a cumulative effect; the death of the first individuals occurs in approximately 5–7 days. Over the next two weeks, all adult mosquitoes are destroyed. The drug itself remains effective for another 3–5 months, preventing the emergence of new adults.
For a significant cockroach infestation, two treatments, once a week or once every 10 days, are recommended. In this case, complete elimination can occur within 30 days of the first spray.
Advantages and disadvantages of the product
The drug Get has a number of clear advantages:
- Highly effective. The product does not cause insect addiction, as Class 1 toxicity poisons are too strong for the arthropods to withstand. Furthermore, the product's action begins immediately upon contact with cockroaches.
- Low toxicity. The active ingredient content in the product is relatively low, so it poses no harm to humans or animals.
- Easy to use. The product is simply diluted in water to the desired consistency.
- No unpleasant odor. Get contains fragrances, so after spraying it, a slight citrus scent lingers in your apartment.
- The product is cost-effective. One bottle is enough to treat a room of up to 100 m2.2.
- Duration of residual effect. The product remains effective for several months after spraying (on average, about 5).
Disadvantages include its relatively high cost compared to other insecticides. Another downside is that, due to its popularity, the product is often counterfeited.
Distinguishing features of the original from a fake
To avoid buying a counterfeit, carefully examine the appearance of the bottle of the drug before purchasing:
- The bubble should be white and opaque.
- The volume of the product is always 100 ml.
- The label is bright yellow, with the Get name in black, framed in the shape of a shield.
- There should be foil protection with the brand logo under the cap on the neck of the bottle.
- The production date on the original is not written in paint, but is applied as an imprint (pressed into the paper of the label).
- The genuine product has an orange and alcohol scent. Other odors are a sign of a counterfeit.
- The cost of the original drug should not be less than 700 rubles per bottle.

Before purchasing, you should carefully examine the appearance of the bottle to avoid counterfeiting.
Preparation for treatment with Get
Get is considered harmless to humans, but it is important to remember that it is still an insecticide. Therefore, before treating the premises, take care of safety. It is enough to follow a few rules:
- put on rubber gloves;
- Protect your breathing with a respirator or mask;
- ensure the flow of fresh air into the rooms;
- Keep children, pregnant women and animals out of the house during treatment.
Preparation of the solution
Once the room is properly prepared, you can begin preparing the solution:
- Prepare in advance a plastic or glass container in which you will dilute the suspension.
- For easy spraying, prepare a spray bottle. In a pinch, you can use a brush, but this will make the process longer and more labor-intensive.
- Before opening the bottle, shake it well, as the microcapsules will settle to the bottom over time.
- Dilute the suspension with water at a ratio of 1:10, meaning 1 liter of water is needed for every 100 ml of concentrate. When spraying outdoors, dilute the product at a ratio of 1:5.

Application of the prepared solution
Once the preparation is ready and the room is also prepared, it’s time to get down to business.
- Put on rubber gloves and a mask. It's advisable to wear protective clothing to avoid contact with your skin.
- Start spraying Get from the areas where cockroaches are most concentrated: under upholstered furniture, behind cabinets, under the stove, behind the sink, etc.
- Next, move on to possible places where the stain may appear, such as baseboards, corners, cracks, and the backs of furniture.
- Re-treat obvious areas where cockroaches are present.
Do not spray the product directly on upholstered furniture (textiles); apply the product in strips 15–20 cm around the area. Spray the walls only at the bottom, no more than 15 cm high.
Wet cleaning of the premises after treatment should be performed no sooner than 10 days later. Pets and family members may return immediately after treatment. If a person with allergies or small children under 3 lives in the house, ventilate the rooms for half an hour beforehand.
Preparations containing chlorpyrifos (analogues)
There are other insecticide products on the market that contain chlorpyrifos as an active ingredient:
- Absolut - gel in syringes;
- Maxifos - powder in sachets;
- Minap 22 is a suspension with microcapsules in bottles;
- Dobrokhim Micro is a suspension with microcapsules in vials.
Reviews of the drug Get
And then the cockroaches appeared. I searched for a miracle cure for a long time, because others weren't working 🙁 Someone recommended GET. The price wasn't right, but there was nothing else to do—hordes of these insects were ravaging the kitchen. I tried it and was amazed—there haven't been any cockroaches for six months now!! I recommend it to everyone.
The cockroaches didn't care about this Get. Guys, in the pursuit of profit, you ruined a great product. You skimped on the active ingredient and added fragrance. And then you jacked up the price.
We used Gett twice, a month apart. The number of cockroaches decreased significantly, but still at least one a week would sneak out to do its business. We tried other, non-microencapsulated treatments—gels, powders, and traps. Now, four months after the last treatment, they've started showing up again from the neighbors—a whole bunch of them. The vaunted Gett didn't work, so I'll have to buy other products.
I stumbled across the Russian-made microencapsulated Get product online. Five days passed, during which I stayed up until 4 or 5 a.m. shaking my husband and children's beds every 15 minutes. But soon the bedbugs disappeared. The product really is good.
And so, once again, after turning to Google for advice, I came across GET. The smell disappeared quickly. But the expected effect didn't materialize. I was about to give up hope... I waited and decided to try again. This time, I didn't skimp on the life-saving solution; I treated the area very thoroughly, no longer worrying about the walls or anything else. When I returned to the apartment, the smell was still noticeable. And it lingered for quite a while. But, lo and behold! Gradually, the cockroaches disappeared. Then I found many more corpses, and for four months now (knock on wood), I haven't seen them or found any traces of them. I hope it stays that way. I would recommend purchasing GET from the official website to avoid counterfeits, which also exist.
I read about GET online. It's expensive, but I didn't know what to do with this horror. And then a miracle happened! It works. It's been six months now—nothing! We diluted it according to the instructions and sprayed it with a garden sprayer. There's a smell, but not a strong one. Even during the treatment, insects were crawling from everywhere. After 10 hours, the entire floor was covered in dead cockroaches. I had to sweep them up for another four days. And after two weeks, they were completely gone. Six months have passed. I haven't seen those bastards again. I recommend it to everyone.
Get, the bedbug and cockroach repellent, is probably one of the most effective and highly effective products available. I tried every poison imaginable, but I couldn't get rid of these pests completely. Until a friend recommended Get. This product helped me get rid of the bedbugs in my apartment, which were multiplying at an incredible rate, in just two days. While using it, I didn't have to temporarily move out of my apartment, as Get is virtually harmless to humans and warm-blooded animals. Therefore, if you're having trouble choosing a bedbug and cockroach repellent, I recommend buying Get without hesitation, as it truly does help get rid of these pests once and for all.
When using chemical cockroach control products, always exercise caution. Remember that even low-toxicity products can be harmful if not used for their intended purpose. Follow the instructions and precautions to ensure safe and effective results.
