Last April, two girls stumbled upon a dirty, whining bundle of fur with piercing, icy eyes in a secluded corner of a stable. They decided to give the dog a loving home. A Facebook post about the animal found in Moscow received a huge response, and several people volunteered to become the adopted owner of the abandoned puppy, August.
But the dog didn't find a loving home the first time: he was returned a week later due to health issues. The search for the right person continued, and Maxim, who saw the puppy's photo and immediately knew it was his. The snow-white albino received the proud name Augustus, in honor of the Roman Emperor Octavian.
The foundling has some health issues: he has poor eyesight and has bouts of tremors, which is when his paws begin to shake involuntarily. The condition is incurable, and August will have to take medication for the rest of his life. He also doesn't like being in bright sunlight, so he and Maxim often take walks early in the morning or late in the evening. But overall, August is a cheerful and very calm animal.
The dog loves to be outside and enjoy the green grass.
August doesn't get along well with other dogs, but he does have a best friend, a corgi named Xavi.
