The East Siberian Laika is familiar to many experienced hunters, as this breed possesses the necessary qualities for hunting large game and game animals. Today, there are only a few East Siberian Laikas left in the world, and scientists have incomplete information about them. However, many are familiar with the virtues of these animals, which are distinguished by their good-natured nature, endurance, and love of hunting.

It turns out that the name "Laika" is a generic term for all dog breeds that lived and were bred for many years in the forested areas of northern Asia and Europe. Based on their intended use, Laikas are classified as sled dogs. These hardy animals have long been the only means of transport to reach remote areas of the frigid north.

Experienced dog breeders are well acquainted with the characteristics of the West Siberian Laika. It is commonly considered a hunting dog, resembling a wolf in appearance but, unlike the wolf, distinguished by its even temperament. Representatives of this breed were first introduced to our country in the 1920s, and even then, many dog ​​lovers fell in love with these animals.
