Having a dog inevitably makes it a member of our family. We pamper it, love it, and want to give it the best. But we don't always understand our furry companions and interpret their actions or behavioral changes correctly. Research has shown that many popular dog communication techniques are ineffective, and some even provoke ambiguous, strange reactions. We'll discuss several such techniques and actions.
Embrace
A pleasant and emotional procedure. By all rights, it should not frighten or provoke aggression in the animal.
But dogs do take this action seriously. It's ambiguous: they may growl, struggle, and some are frightened and show no emotion. It turns out this is because, in the canine world, during a fight, the opponent tries to grab the other by the neck. Therefore, sometimes the pet perceives this action as a threat and actively resists. Don't force it if it doesn't like it or is frightened.
Another way a dog might perceive this action is as dominance over itself, because during a hug you place your hand on its back.
Touch your nose
Dogs don't take kindly to having their faces touched. After all, humans don't like having their faces touched or their heads petted either.
Many dogs tolerate this because they recognize human superiority, not because they enjoy it. Their noses are a very sensitive and intimate part of their body, and many people crave touching, kissing, or simply petting them. This often causes a fit of indignation or profound surprise in their four-legged friends.
Applause
If such a gesture isn't associated with any commands, the dog may become frightened or start barking, not understanding what's required of it. Some dogs may perceive this as an attack, especially from strangers. Consequently, they may attack to neutralize the attacker and protect themselves and their owner.
Speaking in a high voice
This happens during games, arguments, or other situations. People raise their voices: they scream or squeal loudly. But for dogs, this is a reason to become protective; they can perceive it as a signal of pain, danger, and so on. And although they are intelligent and understanding creatures, they are still animals.
Therefore, it's worth thinking before making various sounds and making rash gestures. The animal sincerely believes it's doing what's best.
Sports exercises
Dogs are sociable, playful, and playful creatures. But this isn't a whim, it's a necessity. It's how they use up the energy they accumulated during the day, explore the world, and develop. There's a funny observation: when a person does physical exercise—push-ups, sit-ups, or squats—a dog thinks they're being played with. They start jumping on their owner, jumping, and generally getting in the way.
But don't be mad at your pet for this—he didn't do it on purpose. The explanation is trivial.,They visually remind the animal of the movements that the owner makes when playing with them.
