Why you shouldn't wash cats too often: scratched hands are only half the problem
Cat owners are debating the benefits and harms of bathing their pets. Some argue that regular bathing is essential because germs accumulate in their fur, and when they wash themselves, all that dirt gets into their bodies and causes health problems. Others believe that cats' meticulous cleanliness precludes frequent bathing and allows for water treatments only when absolutely necessary. The truth is, however, somewhere in the middle. Cats shouldn't be bathed frequently, but why not bathe them a few times a year?
