Cucaracha is an insecticide. It comes in the form of a light yellow or bluish emulsion. It is suitable for controlling bedbugs, cockroaches, mosquitoes, flies, and other insects. Cucaracha is approved for use in residential premises, as well as in kindergartens, hospitals, and even cafeterias. The product is packaged in 50 ml and 1 liter containers.
The insecticide contains two components:
- Cypermethrin. When ingested or ingested, this substance blocks the parasite's nerve impulses. Cypermethrin remains effective for up to 20 days after application, even when exposed to ultraviolet rays or heated surfaces.
- Malathion also has a paralytic effect on the insect's nervous system. However, this substance evaporates much faster than cypermethrin.
When combined, these two poisons complement and enhance each other's effects, increasing the chances of successfully eradicating bed bugs. After application, the product maintains maximum effectiveness for three days, which is sufficient to kill the parasites.

Interestingly, when malathion enters the insects' bodies, it turns into an even more potent poison. This accelerates their death. With regular use of malathion, parasites can adapt to it. However, this is impossible when the substance is included in a product.

- Speed of action. This is crucial in the fight against bloodsuckers.

- The long-term action of the drug ensures the death of not only adult individuals, but also the remaining larvae.
What disadvantages can the product stop?
- A sharp unpleasant smell.
- Cucaracha is not effective against bedbug eggs. Therefore, it is recommended to treat the room twice.
- After spraying, it is advisable to leave the apartment for 24 hours.
The main drawback of the product is that Cucaracha does not work on bedbug eggs.
Use of the drug
The product must be diluted and sprayed strictly according to the instructions. Its effectiveness and the safety of apartment residents depend on this. Treatment with Cucaracha is carried out in four stages:
- Preparing the premises.
- Preparation of solution.
- Home treatment.
- Cleaning after treatment.
Preparation
Preliminary measures are essential to protect residents. Before spraying, do the following:
- Remove textiles (curtains, tablecloths, clothes), food and dishes from the room or tightly pack them.
- For the product to be more effective, it's advisable to dismantle the furniture. This will help you find the maximum number of bedbug nests.
- Take animals out of the house.
- Prepare personal protective equipment and clothing for work.
- Conduct a thorough cleaning of your home. The product is less effective on dusty surfaces than on clean surfaces.
Pre-cleaning your home will enhance the effect of the product.
Please note! This product is fatal to aquarium fish, so cover the aquarium tightly if you cannot take it outside during the treatment.
Preparation of the solution
A 50 ml bottle is sufficient to treat a room of 70 square meters. To prepare 1 liter of solution, use 2.5 ml of the poison. It's best to add the solution to warm water—this increases the volatility of the active ingredients, allowing the product to work faster and more effectively.
The product is easy to prepare and apply.
Approximately 50 ml of the prepared solution is used per square meter. However, if the material is highly hygroscopic (for example, upholstered furniture), the consumption increases to 100 ml/sq. m.
Room treatment
Basic rules for using the Cucaracha bedbug remedy:
- Before use, mix the solution thoroughly again and pour it into a spray bottle.
- Spraying begins with areas where insects congregate and nest, then focuses on the bedside area, cracks, and upholstered furniture.
- Don't forget about treating walls, baseboards, door and window frames.
After pest control, you must vacate the apartment. After 24 hours, thoroughly ventilate the room for several hours.
Cleaning the home after treatment
Once the apartment has been ventilated, you can begin cleaning: collect and destroy the bedbugs, and wash surfaces (floor, walls, furniture) with a solution of soap and baking soda. To prevent the emergence of new "batch" of bedbugs hatched from eggs, repeat the procedure after three weeks.
The effect of Cucaracha on humans
Malathion can cause cancer, but only with prolonged, persistent exposure. This applies to all warm-blooded animals. Furthermore, insecticides are strong allergens and can cause poisoning. Therefore, at the first sign of illness associated with the use of Cucaracha poison, it is necessary to consult a doctor.
Strict adherence to the instructions will ensure the safety of residents and the preservation of the environment.
Reviews of the drug
By the time we bought "Kukaracha," we'd already tried a couple of insecticides. There were no positive results. We were considering calling the sanitary and epidemiological station, but then someone recommended this product. They said it was very effective at getting rid of bedbugs. The instructions said it might cause dizziness. But it worked for me. I only coughed until the evening. It was very caustic, but it wore off within 3-4 hours after treatment. The result: two weeks without bedbugs, and then we started again. Apparently, bedbug treatments should be done every two weeks. Or maybe it was the neighbors who came to feed on us.
