The cat returned from a walk with a baby opossum. She decided to become its mother.
Many years ago, Yessica Rodriguez, from a small town in Mexico, found a kitten on the street. She named him Blanchis. She raised her new pet, and he, in turn, showered her with love and affection.
One day, Blanchis went for a walk and returned with a tiny "passenger" on her back. It turned out to be a baby opossum, clinging tightly to the cat as if she were its mother.
It's still unknown where Blankis found the little animal. Most likely, the possum got lost or its mother died. Its cries brought the cat to the possum. The little animal sensed warmth and reached for the fur.
Yessica Rodriguez says everyone was surprised when they spotted a tiny opossum on Blanchis's back. This "passenger" clung to the cat the way babies cling to their mother. The only difference was that a mother opossum usually has many babies, while this one only had one.
The cat acted as if she were the baby's mother. She carried it, hugged it, and licked it. The only difference was her inability to nurse the possum.
Jessica Rodriguez is bottle-feeding the possum and is looking for someone to adopt the baby.
