If you have a child in the house, you should be especially careful when choosing a cat breed so that the baby and pet get along well together, communicate fully, and become great friends.
Russian Blue
Representatives of this breed have short, silvery fur that sheds virtually nothing. Even during sexual activity, they are reserved and calm. They are known for their docile and good-natured nature, making them ideal pets for children.
The Russian Blue cat is patient and non-aggressive, moderately playful and will never hurt a child, but will rather behave towards the child with care and follow him around.
Siberian cat
This is the most common breed in Russia, boasting a luxurious appearance and a wonderful, peaceful nature. They are low-maintenance and very independent. However, they are devoted to children, genuinely loving and bonding with them. They enjoy active play, making the Siberian cat a wonderful companion for your little one.
Exotics
The exotic appearance of these felines is very appealing: they have a sweet face with a small upturned nose and huge, sad eyes. Exotics have short hair, which is a definite advantage.
They are loyal, friendly, and vulnerable, loving with children and will certainly become their best friends, always ready to support them in active games of running and jumping. They become very attached to their owners and do not tolerate separation well.
Ragdoll
This breed is large, and their name translates as "rag doll," which describes these cats well. They have low muscle tone, making them incredibly flexible. However, they need to be guarded against falls, as they are not always able to land on their feet.
Ragdolls lack a hunting instinct and are unable to fend for themselves, so they shouldn't be allowed outside alone. They are very kind and loyal to children, enjoy physical contact and interaction, and literally envelop them in their warmth and affection. This breed is highly intelligent, so they rarely cause problems in everyday life and adapt well to a litter box and scratching post.
Maine Coon
These giant felines, despite their stern exterior, are very kind, affectionate, and sociable. They bond strongly with children and make excellent companions for active play. They are completely non-aggressive and patient, able to withstand children's pranks for hours.
The ideal place for a Maine Coon is a private home where they can hunt, run with babies, or just lie in the sun.
